I received some requests lately for high quality versions of tracks in the download section. Unfortunately are those mp3s to large for e-mail attachments, making it a lot of work getting them to the requester.

Unfortunately I am still waiting for my AKAI APC 40 to arrive. It looks like it is going to be the end of this month. It seems there are only a few available at the moment and that just a handful of people have been able to grab one. The rest ended up in the stores as Demo model.

Lately it’s been a little bit quiet, but that doesn’t mean nothing is happening. Since January this year I’ve said goodbye to Café the Miller Time. After almost two years of building the Miller Time with Simone & Brechje as captains, it was time for a change.

There are a number of acapellas that are very likely to be played by DJs. Acapellas like Who is Jack, Music from Madonna, Bob Sinclar with The beat goes on and so on. The three acapellas I justed listed do have in common that they link to DJing by some phrases in the text, just like Dimples D – Sucker DJ.

Today, May the 30th, is a great day. Not only the sun is shining but the AKAI APC 40 Ableton Live MIDI Controller is officially released. Since the announcement I’ve been looking forward to get my hands on this peace of hardware. I am still waiting for my order to arrive, but hope to be able to tell you more soon.

Beside my passion for music I also like James Bond. In the past artists like Modjo and Ben Liebrand created already mixes of James Bond music.

Today I discovered Dance Valley Back Into Time. A very nice looking web application that takes you on a journey through all the Dance Valley editions.

Another mashup that recently popped into my head while driving home. My good old car radio was playing 75 Brazil Street while I was hearing some vocals from Missy Elliot in my head. Once at home I skipped through the records from Missy Elliot, which brought me to Get your freak on.

Mostly because of my Drive-in past I’ve been working for a long time with BPM Studio and the accompanying RCP-2001-B controller. I mostly used it for quick try-outs of ideas for mixes and mashups. Unfortunately the software didn’t receive much updates lately and started to lag behind in functionality. So it was time for a successor of BPM Studio.
